Dear Parents,

In preparation for the transition to middle school, we have a few planned events to help our incoming 6th graders feel comfortable on the first day of middle school (I know it's not until September 1, but...).

Next week, our 5th graders will be the audience for our 8th-grade exit presentations. 8th graders will share highlights of their middle school experience and provide helpful tips for our incoming 6th graders. Additionally, your 5th grader will also get a tour of the middle school by the principal, Mr. Becker.

This summer, 6th graders can sign up for summer school and take classes with Middle School teachers.  Summer school runs from June 8 to July 2.  Click here to register.

This summer, we will have our annual Meet Your Teacher event on Wednesday, August 19, at 5 pm.  We will have a parent meeting, and then parents and students can move into lockers, meet their teachers, and review their schedule.  

On the first day of school, September 1, our 8th Grade WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) leaders host a 6th-grade orientation for the morning in the Multi-Purpose Room.

These events are there to provide a gradual orientation to our incoming 6th graders to middle school.  If you have any questions or would like a tour separately during the summer, please contact Mr. Becker.  Thank you, and have a great summer!
